Found Art Found Identities: Collage and Queer Theory

For Kristyn final project in Contemporary Issues in Art Educaion, she develop and present a workshop at the spring 2016 2016 Florida Collegiate Pride Conference, an annual event held this year at the University of Florida. Her interest in LGBTQ issues in art education arose from research on queer theory. Queer theory provides the framework for students to explore their own perceptions of normative/non-normative, and to express their hope, anger, grief and love regarding the acceptance and rejection of these qualities in themselves and others.
