A recent workshop and lecture (1.13.2014) with educator author Jose’ A. Bowen author of Teaching Naked revealed some of the following key ideas:

Technology= as a tool not a strategy
Change= use as an agent of learning

Relation to knowledge/information and data
Social proximity
Customization and gaming

“Most faculty spend a lot of time thinking about content and what to cover, but content delivery is not the core strength of a university, just as it is not for newspapers. The core strength is integration.” (p. 289)

For me and art and pedagogy practice are about the following:

• Creative performance
• Art (knowledge) and pedagogy are tools to begin understanding the world
• Art and pedagogy are a collective construction of knowledges and processes circulating in a sea of structures
• Art and pedagogy blur the boundaries between disciplines so that the focus is on social process and exchange

For my students art and pedagogy are about the following;

• Personal growth (independence and passion)
• Social benefits (memories and friends)
• Opportunities for real-world learning and internship
