Student in ARE4314 participated in a project called Messages and Mind Sets in conjunction with the Dawoud Bey exhibition at the Harn by October 25, 2010 and the “Dawoud Bey: First-Year Florida Project” featuring up to 20 photographs of 40 UF students. The students explored the constructed nature of the photographic image and used tradition portrait poses along with written text to create a tension in meanings. In addition the Harn developed an online component called Transitions .
